The day started with a join warm up after the girls all met and had a good chat and some food first.

The first game was Watford v South Bucks babas. The girls were nervous but had confidence from their past performances together. The Watford girls received first and took the game to Bucks keeping the ball alive time after time after time. Buck defended well but could not keep up with the offloads and the line breaks which eventually resulted in the first try. The Watford girls kept up the pressure all the way through the first half. Bucks hit the ground running in the second half stretching our defence and scoring a few well-deserved try’s. Watford just kept the pressure on to win the 4 points.

Next was the formidable Aylesbury, Tring, and Leighton Buzzard cluster, which stretch Watford to a new level. Almost scoring the first try, if it was not for a try saving tackle by Poppy. Watford come back in the second half, scoring a few well-deserved try’s securing the 4 points.

Next was Harpenden, with two very tired teams. Watford just managed to keep up their game to secure a win.

All teams had a great time, and it was the icing on the cake to lift the pool trophy to top off a fantastic day.

Thanks to Bucks and Aylesbury for organising.
