Everyone had a fantastic welcoming to OG as usual last Saturday. Watford U14 clustered again in a now well-established team. Canvey Island also made the trip to OG to take us on. The game started well with Canvey Island coming out of the blocks quickly; however, the cluster held them off, eventually scoring the first try. Daniella worked well on the wing receiving the ball, carrying well, and offloading fantastically. Lily went straight up the middle going low and driving her legs gaining 10-15m at time. Phoebe jackaled, getting the vital turnovers at just the right times and Amalie got in the oppositions faces slowing them down, ripping the ball and tackling at the key moments. Poppy was on everyone shoulder as always, ready to receive the ball and drive us forward or win the ruck. OG’s Keeva got a well-deserved player of the match.
