U12s beat Chess Valley 8-3

January certainly has been an excellent start to 2018 for the U12s, who have come back from the Christmas break with a real hunger and determination to win! Following the superb performance last week, Watford started the match with a great boost to their confidence. By half time, we were leading 4-1 with some excellent tries, brilliant passing and a lot of metres made. Chess Valley simply couldn't match our defence which was making it very hard work for them. Ivan was flying through the air with some spot on tackles, and a lot of speed up the wing from Cameron. Opposing players were bouncing off of Jimmy who was going through the other side like a steam-roller, and a few great break-away runs from Matthew, Aaron and Luke.

Unfortunately we let through two tries early in the second half, but then went on to score another four tries, with Chess Valley being denied any further scoring opportunity by a very strong Watford defence. Plenty of displays of Teamwork with all of our players listening to each other and using the entire field of play.

Todays player of the match went to Dylan who had a phenomenal work rate all match.
