The U11’s hosted Luton at home on the most important date of the year (the coaches’ birthday). Watford got their first try of the day with a strong drive to the try line, but Luton responded with 3 tries in quick succession towards the end of the 1st half of game 1.
The Watford boys showed great attitude and bounce back ability in the 2nd half scoring 5 tries without reply and started taking back control of the game. The boys were quick in the rucks and aggressive in the mauls regularly regaining possession and putting pressure on a strong Luton team.

The first half of the 2nd game was a more even scoring affair. Watford exhibited the defensive tenacity to keep Luton at bay. Luton replied strongly in the 2nd half with the quick tries to level the match once again. We saw some of the best performances of individual players.

As always we look forward to playing against Luton U11’s as we see them as an evenly matched team and the games are always full of great rugby and performances from both sides.
