Watford truly dominated the first half of the match. Aaron scored the first try, followed shortly afterwards with a try from Ivan after receiving a nice pass from Alex. A try from Archie was not awarded, as Stevenage had managed to hold the ball up. The game restarted with a scrum, won by Watford and passed out nicely along the line resulting in a second try from Ivan. Two further tries followed from Aaron and Cameron, bringing Watford to 5-0 in front by half time.

The second half started with an opposition who looked deflated, and Watford scoring four tries (by Aiden x2, Aaron and Captain Max). Just as it looked like Stevenage was giving up, they gained possession and their number 17 demonstrated some fast and fancy footwork to score. This changed the game and Stevenage came back very strong with two more tries in quick succession. Watford upped the ante with a fourth try from Aaron and Liam scoring his first try for the club. In the dying seconds of the game, Stevenage scored a fourth try, signalling full time.
