A game of two halves

Today we had a three-way match with Barnet and Harrow, each team playing 20 minutes against each side.

Watford's first game was against Barnet. As the whistle blew, Watford kicked off, to be received by Barnet. It isn't exactly clear what then happened, as it happened so quickly, but after Barnet caught the ball, Cameron somehow gained possession and ran through to score Watfords first try in the first 30 seconds of the match. Barnet chose to receive the ball, and scored immediately. At this point, it was clear that we were due for an exciting game.

Barnet received the ball, and it looked like Cameron was about to repeat his first play as he snatched the ball from them and ran towards the try line. However, he was intercepted by Barnet who gained possession and scored two tries in quick succession. Despite best efforts, with Barnet being pushed out of play close to the try line on several occasions, they were by far the strongest team on the day, going on to score a total of eight tries against our one.

Player of the game was Archie, who pushed himself and showed great determination against very strong opponents.
