Black Horse with a much larger squad especially their backs started the stronger. With their inside centre smashing his way through to open the scoring he went on to bag a few more in the first half. Watford's woes continued with hooker and key player Marcin coming off for blood after about 30 minutes; this did however see the welcome return of JR who has been unavailable for a few weeks due to his new arrival (welcome to the WRFC family Reuben ). When a rather frustrating first half came to a end Watford found themselves 0-41 down at the break.

After some angry words at the break and some rallying cries from the senior boys in the squad, the home side kicked on and started producing some good rugby. This resulted in a well deserved try for Watford with their Number 8, Liam. He scored after some fine play from forwards and backs alike allowed him to power through a couple of would be tacklers and touch down Watford's only try of the game. Stand-in skipper Taters added the extras. There was also a debut for 17yr old Chad Becker who came on and had a good 20 minutes showing that even at a young age, he isn't afraid to take it to the bigger away side with some decent carries and strong rucking being showed. Although the final score doesn't reflect it Watford showed some promising stuff in the 2nd 40 and could have had a few more tries from what's a very young side. Its only a matter of time before they show this league what they're really made of . Final score 7-58.
