Pie's Army Back to Winning Ways

On what was a cold Saturday afternoon Watford started the livelier of the two sides. With there lighter younger pack shoving Enfield off their own ball several times early on. And after 15 minutes of peppering Enfields line Watford finally put there name on the scoresheet with some quick hands from fly half Williams popping to Connelly who unleashed young Winger A.Routley who scored his first senior try for the club. Watford 5-0.
This awoke Enfield who attacked Watford for the remaining 20 minutes Of the half and would have drew level if not for some solid tackling from the whole of the Watford defence.

The second half started very much how the first had began with Watford trying to implement their game plan. And after some strong breaks from number 8 Pitsialis and some lovely lines from centre and man of the match Smith the ball was shipped out through the hands for Connelly to score in the corner 10-0. In a half largely controlled by Watford Enfield got themselves on the scoresheet after the Watford scrum halfs pass was intercepted on the half way line and allowed the opposition ten to run in for a try under the sticks and also convert it 10-7. Watford came back straight away and watfords backs who had been brilliant all afternoon took it to Enfield and after some nice hands down the line the move was finished off once again by flanker Connelly and Williams added the extras 17-7. Enfield weren't finished there and after a break from their winger who was tackled into touch by watfords centre Menzies but the tackle was judged to have been a high one enfield took a quick tap penalty and caught watford off guard to score in the corner 17-12.
