Watford completed the perfect double over Haringey with a resounding 62 - 12 victory.

On a blustery day, Watford started strongly by taking the game to Haringey from the first whistle. Watford's pack set the tone up front with a dominant series of scrums - one Haringey put in being stolen before the home side marched their opponents fully 30 metres up the pitch. Given such a platform, Captain Bram was able to pull the strings from 10, man of the match Paul Dunlop scoring the first of Watford's ten tries after a fine break. Scott Menzies continued where he left off with the boot last week, 7-0 Watford.

7 soon became 12, another Watford scrum seeing Jack Upton with a great finish after good work from Lee, Hill and Williams down the blindside. Unfortunately for the men in red, white and blue their set piece was soon nullified thanks to Haringey injuries however this didn't stop the scoring, Menzies showing good pace to round the cover defence and score in the corner.

Haringey were nothing if not game, regular showing that they were up for a contest with increasing physicality. The visitors scored a try of their own after Watford switched off at an uncontested scrum, however we had the final say of the half when Christ Routley benefitted from good work by Paul Wilson soon followed by Martin Lee scoring from the back of a rolling maul.

Half time, bonus point in the bag.

head Coach Silver took the opportunity to experiment in the second half, back rower Meredith coming on in place of the impressive Mark Hill at 9, Hancock into the second row for Portway and Yates on the wing for Clancy. The changes did little to stall Watford's momentum, Williams managing to score under the posts after cutting an excellent line.

We were almost immediately back on the scoresheet once again, a knock on denying the Stags their 6th try of the afternoon. Watford were not to be denied however, pressure from Meredith and Harriott at the resulting scrum giving the industrious Paul Wilson a week deserved score. This was soon followed by Menzie's second score, a strong finish in the corner, before Lee and Landen combined to send Yatesy haring in from half way. There was still time for Watford to add their 10th, flanker Harriott continuing his fine form to bulldoze over.

Final score Watford 62 vs Haringey 12. A scrappy game despite the scoreline, but most importantly a bonus point in the bag. Watford have a week off (6 Nations!) before visiting Fellow top four side Old Milhillians on the 9th February.

MOTM - Dunners. Brilliant shift, tackled and carried all afternoon.

WOTW - Jack Upton. Blew a kiss. Saucy minx.
