A big thank you to Ruislip for welcoming us as guests this weekend. Their team spirit was clear from the start, generously lending us two players to help make up our numbers over half term. A fantastic gesture!
A special mention to Catherine and Oscar, who slotted into our team like they'd been playing with us for years! Both put in brilliant performances, showed great team spirit and even managed to bag themselves some scorching tries. Absolute legends! ?
The game got off to a flying start with Leo opening the scoring after a great supporting run to Reuben's break. And then... well, the floodgates opened!
Leo clearly had his jet shoes on, flying down the wing for another try (becoming something of a regular occurrence!). He then returned the favour, putting Reuben through for a well-deserved score.
As confidence grew, so did the performance. The team put in some fantastic defensive work and some seriously good rucking.
One of the highlights was George's beautiful stepping try. Not only did he step up brilliantly to help out the U10s, but the smile on his face was almost matched by the excitement on the sidelines! A fantastic bit of effort paying off, and a real step forward in his rugby journey. George takes this week's Most Improved Player award! ?
A special mention also goes to Jack and Zayan, who weren't feeling quite themselves but still stuck at it and put in a shift for the team. Great commitment, boys!
Player of the Week was a tough one! It came down to two outstanding performances:
Leo – Some brilliant covering defence and absolutely unstoppable in attack. Those jet shoes are becoming a serious problem for opposition defences!
Reuben – Turning the ball over on several occasions, putting pressure on the opposition, pulling off a fantastic interception try and adding a few more great scores to the tally.
Both were outstanding, making this week's decision a very difficult one!

This week player of the week goes to Reuben.

A brilliant team effort all round, plenty of tries, some cracking rugby and, most importantly, lots of smiles. A big thank you again to Ruislip for having us.
That's what rugby is all about!
