Watford U10's Mini's Tour 2026

What an amazing long weekend it was in Norwich this weekend, not only some amazing rugby played on the Sunday at Norwich RFC but a real team building experience for the whole M & J section of the club with all players, parents, grandparents, family members and friends making such a huge effort to make sure fun was had by all making some unforgettable memories for the children and adults alike!

My highlight (apart from the team's performance) would have to be our fancy dress night at the local pub The Turnstone, who were great hosts, food was amazing with the hog roast going down a storm but nothing could steal the limelight from the costumes!! So much effort put in by everyone to show a wide variety of film stars across the years from Star Wars to Toy Story, Alice in Wonderland to Top Gun, The Wizard of Oz to Jaws, Home Alone to K-Pop Demon Hunters and so many more! Absolutely outstanding!!

A tournament to really be proud of by all against some really good opponents, our U10’s side showing amazing grit and determination throughout along with amazing teamwork and support on and off the pitch, coach Tom and myself could not be prouder of the team taking 3 wins from our first 3 games against Crusaders 1st, Wymondham & Crusaders 2nd with explosive speed and runs from our backs scoring our try’s backed up real strength though the middle by our forwards with some brilliant tackles and play.

Our fourth game against West Norfolk couldn’t have been closer with them scoring in the very last play of the game to win, this definitely didn’t reflect on the teams performance which was stellar throughout.

Ending with a very good Norwich team on their home ground unfortunately ending with a defeat but still a close well fought game our Warriors battled through despite us picking up some knocks and small injuries.

The support from the sidelines was brilliant as always with all families and friends cheering the team on till the very end and all pitching in helping with the drinks, snacks, gazebo’s etc, so a huge thank you to you all as well for your ongoing support week in week out showing what a close knit group we are at WRFC…a real family club.
