Watford Rugby Club proudly celebrates a remarkable milestone as Paul Wilson reaches 200 senior appearances — and marks the end of an era as he officially retires from playing.
Paul’s impact on Watford RFC is nothing short of extraordinary. Over the years, he has represented the 1st XV and 2nd XV, captaining both sides, always bringing a fierce commitment, steady leadership, and a deep love for the game.
Off the field, Paul has been just as dedicated. He has volunteered countless hours to the club, taking the time to coach our junior teams, support club operations, and be a constant presence in the Watford RFC community. His influence has been felt at every level — from helping young players take their first steps in the game, to guiding senior squads with passion and integrity.
Reaching 200 appearances is a rare feat. Doing it while also giving so much back makes Paul’s contribution truly special. As he now hangs up his boots, we want to say thank you for everything. Your legacy will be long remembered — and your presence sorely missed on the pitch.
Congratulations, Paul — and enjoy a well-earned retirement. You leave behind not just a number, but a lasting example of what it means to be part of Watford RFC
