Under 14's Back to Winning ways

Watford hosted Tring B at the newly opened second team pitch at their Radlett Road Home.
The game went ahead despite fears following early snow on Saturday morning. However Sunday greeted the players with bright sunshine and a slight breeze. The sun shone and on a clear crisp day the game kicked off at Midday.
In a hard working physical encounter, that saw the home team on top in most areas of the game, the visitors made the most of their early chances with some good breaks in the centre that stalled the Watford defence.
For Watford, there was more frustration, having dominated the early exchanges, when at a Tring scrum the opposition broke up the blind side to score a try to open the scoring.
Watford started to come into their own and two well worked tries from James and and great effort from Jamie , from 10 metres out,expertly finished by Jordan , some great breaks from Luca were the foundation for Watford to open up a deserved lead for Watford at half time.
The Watford dominance was maintained in the second half, as they extended their scoring with a well taken try from the centre, duly converted to extend Watford’s lead.
The home team front five of Chris, Adam Matt, Jamie and James dominated in the scrum , bossed the tight exchanges and worked hard at the breakdown. Watford were a more abrasive home pack than in previous games and it made all the difference in this encounter.
In an exciting last quarter, Watford pressed close to the home line, only to be frustrated by solid defence.
Watford had the final say and scored towards the end of the game and secured the 24-12 victory.
