Watford were brought back down to earth with a bang on Saturday. Playing against a well drilled, big fit Chess Valley team who relentlessly run at Watford who tackling let them run in too many soft tries. With the exception of Jake Landen and Paul Wilson who tackled like demons until until the latter went off injured. Watford's only try came from a well charged down kick by scrumhalf, Mark Hill.
Watford in patches showed how good a side they can be with ball in hand, however the exact opposite could not be said when defending and this will be put right in the coming training sessions.
With very few highlights for Watford the one shining feature is that the youngsters are beginning to flourish and put their own marker on the game.
