A slow start for Watford saw UCS up 10-0 in the opening quarter, palying some relentless stuff through the forwards before shifting it out to their 13 who scored most of their tries. That was the blueprint UCS played to and the played it very well.
Watford struck back in the form of PJ Harriot. The flanker scored a hat trick, all 3 tries combing pace, power, direct running and skill to put Watford back in the mix. Joe Clancy pounced on a dropped ball to score for Watford and Captain Liam Meredith scored in the corner after some nice counter attacking from Ben Wilson and Clinton Mill.
Other notable performances included Keelan Tullett who tackled and organised the attack brilliantly, and Sam Matthews and Tim Peck before they were whisked away to help the First XV beat Cuffley. Charlie Shaw also caught the eyes of the spectators, reminding hookers everywhere why they shouldn't kick the ball. Ever.
Another game that finished close, poise and control lacking in key areas of the pitch along with some serious pace in the UCS backs saw Watford unable to get a win.
