In a scrappy and niggly game it was Watford who started the brighter of the two sides. Watford struck first after some superb scrummaging against a much older and heavier pack allowed watfords young backs to spring in to life with no 9 hill spinning a delightful pass out to fullback and constant thorn in hemels side Silver to go over in the corner Williams added the extras 0-7.
Watford continued to attack Hemel and a powerful run from prop jr proved to much for their defence and made it 0-12 to Watford. After some more superb scrums from the away side Hemel lost their loose head prop to a shoulder injury and the game had to change to uncontested scrums. After this the game got a lot more scrappy and Watford flanker Connelly saw yellow for a late tackle and what can only be described as some handbags after. Watford didn't let this bother them and after some fine hands from watfords backs Stewart set up Smith to score his first try in a Watford shirt 17-0.
The Second half started the same as the 1st half ended with Watford going on the attack with flanker Portway making a nice break and popping to in form winger Rogers sadly Rogers was knocked into touch just before he could dot the ball down. Jr added another to his name with another powerful and clever run to score in the corner 0-22.
Watford attacked again with skipper hicks making a incredible run before beautifully popping out the back to silver who gave it to returning flanker and M.O.M Pitsialis to smash through hemels defence and carry several of them the over the line with him Williams added the extras 0-29
