In a very scrappy 2nd half while defending their own line Watford flank Connelly was deemed to have made a dangerous tackle and was shown a yellow card. UCS believed it was a dangerous tackle a fight broke out which resulted in Watford centre Smith and USC second rower both being shown a red card along with Watford skipper Hicks being shown a yellow. Now watford down to 12 and under the cosh had ten minutes to defend for their lives and that's exactly what they did with several try saving tackles being made aswell as some good work in the rucks. Connelly and Hicks both came back on after serving their ten minutes. However the pressure eventually showed and UCS scored two quick fire converted tries 10-24 . Watford didn't give up and for the final 10 had ucs on the ropes Connelly scored a try with a couple of mins left on the clock sadly was just a little late and ucs held on for the win final score 15-24
