This Saturday, the 1st XV make the now familiar trip 'south of the river' to Barnes for what is always a keenly contested match against league rivals London French.
Watford took the honours in a hard-fought game at Radlett Road in September, tries from Wilkinson (2), Holloway and man of the Match Routley (2) giving the stags a bonus point victory. Our previous visit to Barnes last season was a highly entertaining (if French or neutral!) 38-29 loss, a match which included two yellow cards with 2 minutes for the men in red white and blue. Our discipline will certainly need to be much improved if we are to gain anything this time round.
Coming into the second half of the season, Watford currently sit in 4th place, 4 points from second and automatic promotion. French are two places below in 6th, and will be looking to continue a strong run of home form which has seen them beat Uxbridge, Cuffley and Pinner.
Kick off is 14:00, all support is much appreciated for what is sure to be a storming game.
