XT 3 Wins Beer of the Festival!

Wow... A closely fought competition between some outstanding contenders resulted in our tightest 'Beer of the Festival' award yet.

With some of the finest palettes in the area giving the contenders their full attention, the top three were as follows:

1st Place:

XT - 3

Tasting Notes: An American style IPA – packed with Chinook, Columbus and Cascade hops from the American North West – crisp, clean and refreshing with a lasting hoppy bite.

Our judges were wowed by the cleanliness of this returning favourite, with one describing it as a 'perfect summer ale'. Goes to show one shouldn't always be swayed by fancy names!

2nd Place

Tring - Pale Four.

Tasting Notes: Hops, hops and more hops, although this is not just another one dimensional ‘lupin fest’. Cara, Munich and Rye Crystal malts provide a robust base for this punchy American West Coast IPA style beer.

Last years winner lost out by a single point in the end. A WRFC favourite, sure to sell out so make it one of your first stops!

ABC - City of Gold

Tasting Notes: A one off, unique to our festival!

Cracking result for ABC with this seasonal offering. Again, the weather played a part with all judges commenting that the clean, crisp finish was perfect for a warm summers evening.
