Beer List & Tasting Notes Confirmed

A few one offs, some old favourites and many, many new seasonal beers have been confirmed!

As always, we encourage all visitors to give something new a try. So you don't go in completely blind, here's what we are offering this year:

ABC

City of Gold - % tbc. A one off, unique to our festival!
Chesil - 4.1% Refreshing straw gold pilsner , crisp and biscuity lager with a herbal grassy aroma

Haresfoot

Star Dust - 4.2% Brewed with a selection of English First Gold with American Cascade and Willamette hops giving a delicate peppery spice with aromas of fruit and floral essence. The blend of crystal malts provides a red hue and a blend of nutty/sweetness.

Totem - 4.5% Citrusy Light crisp and extra hoppy brew

Brains

Gold - 4.1% A crisp, sweet golden ale with fresh fruit flavours that are balanced by an intriguing depth and light malty aroma. Careful. Very easy and moreish.

Rye - 4.3% A dark, dry and distinctive ale that has a full flavour and bitter finish with unexpected glimpses of citrus and spice.

Rudgate

Ruby Mild - 4.4% Multi award-winning, nutty, deeply rich and satisfying Ruby Mild. So easy to drink. This is Clints one for the road.

Battleaxe - 4.2% Bitter sweet, with complex fruit that gives a memorable aftertaste

Tring

Skycrane - 4.3% Pale with an explosion of tropical fruit flavour. Mango, grapefruit and passion fruit are squeezed (not literally!) into a delicate Pilsner malt base. The shining stars are Mosaic, Simcoe and Citra hops.

Pale Four - 4.6% Hops, hops and more hops, although this is not just another one dimensional ‘lupin fest’. Cara, Munich and Rye Crystal malts provide a robust base for this punchy American West Coast IPA style beer.

Drop Bar - 4% This is a beer to drink all night long and all year round. A slower, low temperature fermentation and dry hopping with Mosaic yields crisp flavours, subtle bitterness and a gentle floral, tropical fruit aroma.

Bitter Boer - TBC% Predominantly South African hops with hints of Blueberry, goosebury, melon and guava to compliment the bitterness of the dry hop. A bitter sweet experience. A war on your palate.

Zulu Tropic TBC% Hops from the tropical climate of Kwazulu Natal, this refreshing blonde accurately combines traditional British and South African hops, showing off flavours of orange and plum. Very accurately reflects the character of the last British outpost.

Twickenham

Naked Ladies - 4.4% Outstanding hoppy beer using Pilgrim, Celeia and Chinook hops for full-flavoured satisfaction. A glorious hoppy golden ale. Inspired by the statues of water nymphs in York House gardens in Twickenham, known locally as the “Naked Ladies”

Redhead - 4.1% Roasted barley, along with a blend of pale/dark crystal malts and caramalt give this red hued beer a soft maltiness with roasted notes, whilst the English/German hop mix gives it a spicy hop character.

XT

One - 4.2% Citrus and fruity hops flirt with reserved English barley and some very naughty Bohemian malts to make a characterful blonde ale that you'll want to meet again.

Three - 4.2% An American style IPA – packed with Chinook, Columbus and Cascade hops from the American North West – crisp, clean and refreshing with a lasting hoppy bite.

Four - 3.8% An amber beer with a special Belgian malt and a fruity mix of American and European hops. Very addictive, and our flagship beer.

Animal

Lion - 4.6% Brewed with a traditional recipe and re-engineered London Water. This is an easy drinking beer with a rich, dark character matched with a toasty aroma and a hint of sweet earthy notes. A time honoured, full bodied London Porter

Kangaroo - 4.2% - A golden coloured biscuity beer loaded with a whole host of Dr Rudi and Pacific Gem Hops.  We have dry hopped it with one of our favourites, Wakatu to deliver subtle lemon and lime flavours with floral notes.  A perfect beer for the early summer months

Windsor & Eton

Knight of the Garter - 3.8% Golden Ale, brewed with American Amarillo whole leaf hops giving a distinctive fresh citrus aroma reminiscent of cut grapefruit.

Corker - TBC% - A one off special for our brewery

Park Life - 3.2% A refreshing light ale with a great taste. With a selection of fine New World hops including  Ella (we’re using whole leaves) to give PARKLIFE a full, clean flavour, beautiful colour and a wonderful aroma.

Treason - 5.8% Treason is a West Coast IPA, bronze in colour and with a big hop aroma that gives way to a lingering spicy bitterness.

Kohinoor - 4.5% Based on a classic IPA recipe which uses Imperial Malt along with Chinook, Simcoe and Pacific Jade hops. However the additional special ingredients of Jaggery (raw cane sugar from India bought from Southall market), Jasmine Petals, Cardamom and Coriander produce a distinctive twist to this “Indies Pale Ale”.

Rebellion

Slapstick - 4.2% Amber and Citrus. Notes not available at time of print

Blonde - 4.3% A light golden Summer beer, with a citrusy hop character. Serve it slightly cooler than usual for an ale, to enhance its refreshing quality.

Smuggler - 4.2% An amber coloured, special bitter with a distinctive fruity hop character, and lasting bittersweet finish.

3Brewers

Golden English - 3.8% Brewed using Cascade hops which give a subtle citrus flavour, coupled with Cara malt to give a light golden colour and a hint of sweetness.

Classic English - 4% A light hoppy aroma and a rich and rounded malty taste balanced by subtle hoppiness, to give a supremely clean, smooth and refreshing ale.

Blonde 4% Brewed with a generous pile of Mosaic hops this golden coloured ale is our hoppiest yet, with a fresh citrus aroma and a wonderfully clean and crisp taste of grapefruit and mango.

Ruby - 4.3% With five malts and five hops this ruby coloured ale has a lovely rich malty flavour and a hint of spiciness making it a very drinkable ale.

IPA - 4.6% Comes with a light hoppy aroma and a rich and rounded malty taste balanced by subtle hoppiness, to give a supremely clean, smooth and refreshing ale.

Special English 4.8% With chocolate malt to give it a deep copper colour and the finest English hops give the ale a hint of berries.

Titanic

Iceberg - 4.1% A combination of Maris Otter pale malt and fine wheat malt, give this refreshing beer real zest. Add refreshing Yakima Galena and Cascade hops and what you get is a fantastic wheat beer that will hole any passing thirst.

Plum Porter - 4.9% Plum Porter. Like it says on the tin. You'll be surprised by the plum flavour. Absolutely gorgeous.

Sambrooks

Bree Louise Session Pale - 4.2% Like it says on the tin. Brewed by Craig Douglas of the Bree Louise, no nonsense easy drinking session. Get on it.
